In other anti-fascist news, Maine artist makes a statement:



What I love about this (besides the fact that he uses a Mac to do it, of course) is that the people on the side of liberalism are smart and funny.

A mural bomb. Rightwing cobnuggets think they can send things down the memory hole, but their base, the Teabaggers, can't even spell their signs.

As VS says, NELSON MUNTZ HAH! HAH!!

    I saw this the other night and LOVED it.

    I seem to recall hearing that since the actual mural was taken down from where it was contracted to be, they have to return money to the state. :)

    kind of. The money for the mural was Federal Block grant funding from the Labor Department, which stipulated that the finished artwork be displayed "for public use" or something like that. So a deputy of Labor sent a letter saying they now had to return the money, since the stipulation was voided.

    But, being a Republican, I am sure further violating the contract will not give Lepage a moment's pause. He'll just say they don't have the money any more, or perhaps fire some teachers to pay for it.

    I believe that "for public use" and "being given to Republicans" is essentially the same thing. Just ask Mike Pence.
