In other anti-fascist news, Maine artist makes a statement:
What I love about this (besides the fact that he uses a Mac to do it, of course) is that the people on the side of liberalism are smart and funny.
A mural bomb. Rightwing cobnuggets think they can send things down the memory hole, but their base, the Teabaggers, can't even spell their signs.

So awesome.

people on the side of liberalism are smart and funny.
ReplyDelete90% of great humor is rooted in truth...and darkness. Two things conservatives know nothing about.
I saw this the other night and LOVED it.
ReplyDeleteI seem to recall hearing that since the actual mural was taken down from where it was contracted to be, they have to return money to the state. :)
kind of. The money for the mural was Federal Block grant funding from the Labor Department, which stipulated that the finished artwork be displayed "for public use" or something like that. So a deputy of Labor sent a letter saying they now had to return the money, since the stipulation was voided.
ReplyDeleteBut, being a Republican, I am sure further violating the contract will not give Lepage a moment's pause. He'll just say they don't have the money any more, or perhaps fire some teachers to pay for it.
Hey, what happened? Did I imagine that other entry with the song I liked? It up and disappeared.
ReplyDeleteI believe that "for public use" and "being given to Republicans" is essentially the same thing. Just ask Mike Pence.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Jennifer also sees the future. Also. I quote:

ReplyDeleteYeah! And I wasn't even drinking last night!
Also, about the shenanigans... watch me pull 7,000 votes out of my hat!
And... have I mentioned how much I loathe Mike Pence!?!? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
ReplyDeleteyou should move to Indiana so you can vote against him.
ReplyDeleteHis type is one of the reasons I moved away...
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty cool project.
