Laziness here, feeling like Jonah Goldberg, but since everybody on the Intertrons is smarter than me, it's appropriate to blog-source this:
Going to Nawlins next month. Good things/people to do/see/eat/drink?
Also, rehab in progress. New windows just installed:

Go over to Aunt Snow's place, also ask Matt T., if he's hanging out at Sadly Central.
ReplyDeleteWow, have fun. I have fiends form collage who lived in New Orleans, but I haven't been communicating that much lately. (Almost like a zombie, he typed.)
ReplyDelete~
Oh wow, that's awesome. I'm really happy for you. I reckon itll be a lovely change of scenery for you. I've never been but would love to.
ReplyDelete" is smarter than me"
This from the grammar zombie. Interesting. ;)
Get a muffaletta from Central Grocery.
ReplyDeletePinko will explode with jealousy.
You could eat almost anything in Nawlins and Pinko would explode with jealousy.
ReplyDeleteThis is true.
ReplyDeleteTry not to break anything. We're just now getting it put back together after that Katrina fuckhead trashed the place. Something about Russian skaters - you just don't want 'em in your house.
ReplyDeleteOh! And if you see a Officer from the Corps of Engineers above the rank of Captain, punch him right in the nose. Or, I guess in your case, go all Zombie Karate up on his ass...
What fish said about the muffalettas. Also Cafe' Du Monde for the beignets.
ReplyDeleteCan I come with you?
absolutely.
ReplyDeleteDave Pirner lives in New Orleans now, you know.
Matt T. has a rarely-updated blog.
ReplyDeleteMaybe leave him a note.

Everything is possible
With a lot of luck and a pretty face
And some time to waste
I love going to Cafe Du Monde, eating a diabetes-inducing amount of powdered sugar while watching the Mississippi.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you really want to unleash your inner carnivore, Dickie Breannan's Steakhouse is pretty awesome. I had a bone-in ribeye there once that was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten.
Have fun!
So happy for you about Nola and all that.
ReplyDeleteMore interestingly, you got a gig? Goodonya!

ReplyDeleteNo. that one's nearly done. Nothing new on horizon. Zombie drinking hevily. Dog still farting. Republicans being assholes.
