There was a time when I condoned and thought it was OK to be ugly to others. That time is in my past. Long forgotten. The whole business of being unpleasant and cruel is so passe for me. Mainly because it doesn't serve any purpose. And in my mind, the desired purpose is short lived and damaging to everyone. Especially the person spewing the venom toward others. Ultimately, it says a lot about the person who is not acting within Kindergarten standard operating procedures.
Today, I address the issue at hand, or more easily sometimes depending on the situation, do the "Delete" (insider joke). This allows me to move forward positively and without concern for those who are frequently unpleasant due to their own issues; lack of education, poor social skills, and/or mental health concerns, most frequently. It has made my life even better than it already was and ultimately, that's what I am seeking -- a high quality life.
Case-in-point, I read this on a friend's Facebook page:
"J, You're so right!! It reminds me of when A was in 1st grade and his little bitch 23 yr old teacher gave him a "D" for public speaking and her face (and neck) turned RED as a tomatoe and she studdered standing in front of the classroom of parents on back to school night. I had to tell her she deserves a "D" or less in public speaking and I bet my 6 year old did better than she did. . . . .assholes!"
What makes me most sad, this is someone's mother, daughter, friend, etc. My ema may be a lot of things, but this she is not. Thank goodness she has encouraged and demonstrated better communication, thinking, social, and management skills in her offspring.
