Boo Hewerdine and Darden Smith, from the sublime disc Evidence. Don't bother looking for youtubery, just go buy the frickin disc. Wilco wishes they could have done this.
I am the only one I know of who has ever heard of this album.
I believe, I believe, I just felt the first chill of winter
Was it me, was it you who let the cold in here?
Somebody pull down the window, somebody pull down the shade
There's a cold wind blowin' it's got me knowin'
The first frost is headed this way

Show me, show which way the wind blows
Tell me tell me how you know
I believe.

I do quite like Smith's Deep Fantastic Blue. I haven't heard Evidence, though - I'll look for it.
ReplyDeleteTrust me, summer will last forever this one time.

Let me know if you can't find it Snag. we'll figure something out.
ReplyDeleteI looked as well, hoping to hear a sample, but noooooo! Nooooo samples! And, apparently it can only be purchased from "Dave" in Florida, but he has a good sales record...
ReplyDeleteYou made me curious with the Wilco comment.
Don't bother Dave....
ReplyDeleteVery cool - I'm going to check this out. You always give such sound musical advice. (yes, cornyness totally intended...)
ReplyDeleteI know! Come visit me here and we'll listen to it. I'll buy the bourbon.
ReplyDelete"Frickin"
