Everything You Thought Was Right Was Wrong Today, Friday Random Ten.

Okay, now this just can't be true. In this article, not only does Milwaukee NOT make the top twenty five fattest cities in America, we are the FIFTH in the top FITTEST cities.

Read that again, because it takes a while to register. I mean, I know we've got a fairly sizable gay population, and of course, there's the effect of the metrosexual, but that's gotta be true of nearly every city. We've still got beer, and fried foods, and George Webb. I mean, what the hell? What kind of metrics comes up with that result?

Meanwhile, Chicago is the fattest. So once again, Milwaukee takes a back seat to the elephant (snicker) to our south.

I'm thinking they used Diebold machines to track the results.

So anyways, here's my Friday Random Ten- non-audited non-fat version:

1.. Pain (Flush The Fashion Version) from the album “The Life And Crimes Of Alice Cooper (Disc 3)” by Alice Cooper
Remember when Alice got a punk haircut and got all new-wavey? No, no one does. Except I was all punk and new wavey at the time, so I like it.

2. Disappear from the album “Reveal” by R.E.M.

3. Such Little Nonbelievers from the album “From Ritual To Romance” by The Loud Family

4. Another Satellite from the album “Transistor Blast - The Best Of The BBC Sessions (Studio Sessions 1)” by XTC

5. I Wanna Be Sedated from the album “All The Stuff (And More) - Vol. II” by the Ramones

6. Up On The Sun from the album “Up On The Sun (Reissue)” by Meat Puppets

7. Hello Cruel World from the album “Edge Of The World” by Mekons

8. All Mixed Up from the album “The Cars/ Deluxe Edition (Disc 1)” by The Cars

9. Death Where Is Thy Sting from the album “The Executioner's Last Songs, Vol. 3” by Various Artists Pat Brennan doing an old Cole Porter song.

10. Darlin' One from the album “Don't Tell A Soul” by The Replacements

11. Pretty Girls from the album “Look Sharp!” by Joe Jackson

Good set, with Mekons. Bonus.

Post rebuttal random tens in the comments.

  1. To be mistaken for Cole Porter is quite the compliment, but I wrote Death Where Is Thy Sting. Check out Don't Talk To Strangers by the Beau Brummels for more 60's radience.
