Snow Day in the Hood

Philadelphia, New York, and Washington DC (and other cities in the Northeastern United States) are under a 'no joke snow' seize. My community received close to 25 inches between Friday and Saturday evening. A snow fall that has closed schools for the week in the local districts, as the State of Delaware is under a 'state of emergency'. Last night and into today we are expected to get another 12 inches. Thank goodness for Tazo Chai and tissues!

I won't be going to Suzanne Vega tonight either as the show has been canceled. I am hopeful for my lecture tomorrow night on the First Amendment and the importance of both bloggers and big box media outlets in Philadelphia followed by an amazing dinner. I will share thoughts on that tomorrow. Come what may though, I am leaving for the west coast on Thursday night. For what? Skiing. So my chances of getting away from this snow are pretty much unlikely until I return to the southern portion of the United States at the end of the month.

Happy Snow to all of you and for those in non snow areas -- lucky! A few photos for you to enjoy today of one of the child's reaction and why I cannot have BBQ at home:

  4. Thunder, I have some contacts in Columbus who said it was not too bad today. I know you got nailed on Friday before we did. (I should mention here that I recognize Chicago is under snow, as well as other areas of the US and this storm is not just the three cities of interest that I mentioned.)

Ruth, you too! I am going to try to make it to the Players next show later this month. I will e-mail you about that.

Thanks, John! I'm sorry I haven't be by recently to comment. My life has been so wonderfully busy over the past few months and weeks.
