Wake-up, Mayor Nutter!

I get an invoice for $71.00 for a parking ticket. Except I paid the ticket back in November before they tacked on all the interest. I called the number on the invoice for the Philadelphia Parking Authority to discuss this issue. It's automated. No live person. Invoices still come. They still have my money.

Nothing changes.

Mayor Nutter thinks Philadelphia will benefit from with casinos opening in South Philadelphia. Since 2007, Atlantic City, less than 200 miles away, has seen a drop in gambling and casino revnue. To that end, six of the 11 casinos have now filled for bankruptcy in court.

Right, close the libraries and open casinos.

Philadelphia: still a ghetto of mediocrity and Temple Grads: is there a difference?

  1. Why not open a casino library? You go with a bunch of friends, and you're the person who loses all your money in 10 minutes. Instead of going to the ATM or complaining to your friends that you should leave, you can check out a book. It would promote two of my favorite pastimes, gambling and reading.

  2. Let us know if you got towed. I'll watch for you on Parking Wars (a hilarious half-hour of tee vee).
