There was plenty of commentary on this photo and I was going to pass, but what the hell, I need a post and if the Republicans can slime Jack Murtha, an actual hero, we can certainly mock a couple of stereotypical chickenhawks. Tony Snow and Dan Bartlett accompanied Bush on his midnight sneak photo op in the safe zone of Baghdad.

This picture was taken on the way there. A portrait of two chickenhawks, indeed. Not only do they look more ridiculous than Dukakis ever did, they look like they both have just crapped their pants and are trying to find a way to blame the other.

The photographer was not allowed to take a picture of Bush. One account says that Bush did not wear protective gear, which seems... well, it seems like another fuckin lie. More likely he didn't have his codpiece, and refused to be photographed unaugmented.
