Gwendolyn Moore.

August has a good point to make about the 'white christian' remark that Dean made the other day.

It so happens that I can answer his question, but that's really because Rep Moore is from our district and I voted for her.

However, in context of his fuller remarks, this was exactly what dean was talking about. the main point of what he was saying is that the Democrats need to reach out to disaffected black voters, becaus the Republicans simply will not address their concerns; if Democrats don't do it, who will?

It is long past time for the Dems to stop taking the black vote for granted, and working on issues that matter to this constituency. It won't hurt that doing so will also help position the party as supportive of the working class, and progressive policies.
